Give Change For Children is an educational and fundraising project of I Am Change, that is bringing real hope to children in developing nations. First, by learning the issues facing children in poverty, then responding by collecting ‘loose change’ to fund clean water and education projects, together we are impacting the lives of deserving children.
::Clean Water is the vital foundational element to the development or restoration of any community.
::Education is key in preventing the cycle of poverty from continuing. By providing basic resources to local teachers and helping rebuild small schools in/near refugee camps, children are receiving an education they would not otherwise have access to.
Give Change For Children is all in the name…we want to bring change to children throughout the developing world in real, powerful and tangible ways. Most often, children are the most vulnerable individuals in impoverished communities. They didn’t do anything to find themselves there, and they typically can’t do anything to find their way out. Our heart is to help life in those impoverished communities look a different.
An estimated $7.7 Billion in loose change is out of circulation, finding it’s place in cupholders, couch cushions, piggy banks, drawers, etc. One of the most simple ways for us to impact children is to collect this ‘spare change’ and give it toward projects that are making a real difference in the lives of children in the developing world. Our primary focus on projects is toward clean water and education.
As we learn about issues, we can then respond to these issues. As a part of the I Am Change movement, the vision of Give Change For Children is to help schools, churches, social groups and families, learn about issues facing children around the world, and then give people a simple response to make a difference.
