Set Hope Free
The Set Hope Free Project is establishing strategic partnerships with local firms, law-enforcement agencies and after-care homes to rescue women and children from the snares of oppression and slavery, and assist in the rehabilitative and restoration process. Our primary areas of focus is in Mumbai, Pune and Ooty, India. We are developing a new partnership in Bangkok, Thailand currently. All people should have the liberty and to live life free from the snares of oppression, exploitation and slavery.
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. Victims of human trafficking are young children, teenagers, men and women. Approximately 800,000 to 900,000 victims annually are trafficked across international borders world wide. Many victims of human trafficking are forced to work in prostitution or the sex entertainment industry. But trafficking and oppression also occur in forms of labor exploitation, such as domestic servitude, restaurant work, janitorial work, sweatshop factory work and migrant agricultural work.
After drug dealing, the trafficking of humans is tied with arms dealing as the second largest criminal industry in the world, and is the fastest growing. It is happening right here, right now; in our world, on our doorstep. It is devastating the lives of millions of men, women and children each year.
