In response to the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, I Am Change is responding in a swift and thoughtful manner. It is utterly vital to the survival of the hundreds of thousands affected by this disaster that immediate aid come to the rescue, and graciously millions of aid dollars are pouring into the country, However. the road to rebound is going to be a long one. That is why we are mobilizing personnel and implementing sustainable solutions in the process of recovery beginning now.
On a “normal” day, Haiti is the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere, that is why I Am Change is committed to our Haitian Partnerships that are looking toward long-term sustainability and beginning the rebuilding process for Port au Prince, and throughout the nation. Our primary focus is creating sustainable access to clean water and sanitation and looking toward long term solutions that will sustain these projects in Haiti. Well-Repair and Bio-Sand Filters are vital in establishing long-term access to clean water and sanitation. As we look to growth and repair, we understand that water is the most foundational building block for any community…without it people simply can not survive. So, we are building upon that foundation and looking further into sustainable agriculture, orphans, education, health, and micro-enterprise.
